What is Ghost Apocalyptic?

Ghost Apocalyptic is a gay/horror/comedy themed anthology comic book and webcomic that tells the story of a post-apocalyptic survivor making his way across the scarred earth.

Starving marauders, furious spirits, zombies, vampires, robots and more make struggling just to stay alive a daily event and little does he know the survivor, Seth, is being watched.

An unreliable narrator recounts the Ghost Apocalyptic narrative as well as the events that lead to the cataclysm that turns the earth into a haunted wasteland. Told in three parts the story unfolds in:

Cult:
A mysterious shadow corporation seems to be backing a murderous cult. What is their goal and who will survive their maniacal plotting?

Monsters:
Fabled dark creatures now walk among us. Vampires are being spotted, zombie outbreaks, robots, ghosts, goblins and more point towards a world ending event.

Apocalypse:
The end is here. Stories recounting the apocalypse, leading up to Seth’s story.

Background:
Michael K. Bello writes and draws here with some editing assistance from the husband. After a painfully long hiatus from drawing, animation and creativity in general, the desire to create has returned, the crushing weight of life be damned.
It’s been a bit of time and has felt like a complete retraining from absolute basics in terms of art. I think a lot of this retraining is apparent but I really enjoyed the stories and ended up really liking some of these kooky characters. I’ve managed to stumble my way through this project and have enjoyed every moment.
Inspired by “real” ghost video clips and coming across Adam Ellis’ horror comic short anthologies, I was asked ”what sort of horror story would you make?”
All of them, apparently. And super gay! I tried to make an anthology of unconnected horror stories, true horror stories. Gory, exploitative, bombastic and offensive. But, me being me, a lot of comedy snuck in and it ended up being a PG-13 with lots of swearing. So, like, a lite R rating? The stories were supposed to be unconnected but before long a running narrative was formed and snaked throughout the series.
Music was a huge inspiration to the creation of this book which is why I included playlists of the music which directly inspired the stories.
